Meet our intern:
Cecelia earned a bachelor’s degree, Summa Cum Laude, from Liberty University with a focus on Christian Counseling. Cecelia worked in many different environments with many client presentations. She is strongest with mothers who are struggling and people who need coping skills training. If you're looking for someone to tailor skills to fit your life and your specific challenges, she might be a great fit.
During the last five years, she worked with teens and children in residential facilities as well as youth groups. She is currently enrolled with Liberty University to complete her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is trained in Cognitive Behavior therapy, Mindfulness practices, solution focused therapy, and Trust-based-relational-Intervention.
Cecelia focuses on building safe connections for self-exploration, healing, and learning. Cecelia’s empathetic and client centered approach aims to help individuals and families achieve emotional wellbeing. She believes that everyone has strengths that can be harnessed through skills training to improve their life.
During her free time, she loves going to church with her family and spending time playing competitive board/card games. She puts a lot into her family and tries to enjoy every minute with them that she can.
Fun facts to know about Cecelia. She is a mother in a blended family and now has eight grown children. She had a farm that her and her husband were planning on using to feed their family, but because of her compassion and love for the animals they turned it into a no-harm farm. Her animals have a pretty good life!
